Hello, I'm Kirsty and I am the designer behind Per Mano Mia. Per mano mia means 'by my hand' in Italian.

Each of my designs starts life as an ink or acrylic painting or a rough sketchbook doodle in my studio in Hertfordshire. I take inspiration from the shapes, patterns and texture nature makes and my work is heavily influenced by the simplicity of Scandinavian design and the need to create a calm and relaxing environment. 

I originally trained in printed textile and fashion design and spent many years working in costume for film and television. I use my knowledge of design and pattern within my work creating products with muted colours and textural detail.
